Potting soil often contains spores and eggs, in order to reduce the risk of pests and diseases, it is necessary to disinfect the cultivation soil, the following are several disinfection methods:
(1) Drug disinfection method.
You can use 1% potassium permanganate solution or 40% formalin solution. Before disinfection, the cultivation soil will be stacked in a corner, while spraying drugs while turning, in order to accelerate the permeability of the drug solution, so that it enters the cultivation soil as soon as possible. After spraying the drug with plastic film closed for a day and night, then remove the film, after 3 to 5 days can be used in pots.
(2) Pot frying disinfection method.
Put the prepared cultivation soil into an iron pot and stir-fry for 1 hour, which can play a disinfection role. Disinfection after drying a few times a day to increase the air in the soil, to be used in pots after 2 to 3 days.
(3) Steam sterilization method.
Cultivate soil dripping with hot water, put in the steamer, fumigate for 1 hour at 83 ℃. Note that the fumigation time should not be too long, after crossing 1 hour, it will cause the dissection of active substances in the cultivation soil, thus reducing the useful nutrients. After disinfection, pour out the cultivation soil, dry it for 4 days, turn it over several times a day with a shovel, and then use it in pots.
